Initially this may seem like a slightly off-topic one for us; however as fashion lovers we love anything that helps us get you the latest, buzzworthy brands and news. Therefore when we were invited to test out the new and rather clever Lumi service – we were more than a little curious.
Lumi is a brand new service which aims to awesomize the way you currently discover new content online. Of course, there are services (such as Stumbleupon) that already offer this; however Lumi breaks right out of the mould that relies on people manually sharing links, instead using a browser plug-in which anonymously learns your interests based on your personal browsing history. So whether you like streetwear, surfing, and economics or just about anything else for that matter: Lumi will aggregate the most relevant pages from the wider Lumi community to find your ideal match in terms of content. So, when you log in it’ll display these trending pages, split out into different topics of interest.
The service is in alpha at the moment so the people using it are invitation-only. Luckily, we love you guys and through this link you can join us and sign up to the service early. We’ve been using it to discover trending content in style and fashion, what will you use it for?
Sign up to Lumi right here and let us know how you get on!
FYI: The clever Lumi recommendations come via a plug-in for the Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome browsers, so these are the browsers of choice for the alpha version. That said, those are both awesome browsers, and you’re a savvy bunch, so why would you be using anything else, right?
Please note: There’s a limit to the number of invitations available, so don’t delay.
