Hi there Matthew welcome to your interview with Teehunter! We’d love to know more about GrimeStyles Tees!
Hi guys, thanks for getting in touch — I’m really excited about being on TeeHunter. You’ve got a great thing going on! I started Grime Styles in fall 2011, during the NBA Lockout. I’m a graphic designer and basketball fan, and so thought it’d be a fun project to redesign some classic NBA team logos, but giving them a kind of a grimy, urban twist. After the concepts and designs were well received, my friends encouraged me to start printing them on shirts. The rest is history, and I’m now serving customers all over the world. I couldn’t be happier with the growth we experience in our first year.
Lets talk a little about GrimeStyles Team
My team and I now operate in Brooklyn. We’re planning on releasing parodies of the Los Angeles Lakers, Seattle Supersonics, and San Antonio Spurs next. The short term goal is to feature every NBA team – and even a few from the past.
Could you tell us a little bit more about yourself? Where did you grow up? Where you went to college?
A little about me – I grew up all over the place – moving between New York City, London, Minneapolis, and Boston all before I turned 18. I went college at Skidmore and now I’m in graduate school at Parsons for graphic design.
