Almaic Clothing – a story that resonates with the inner artist in us all !

His  story starts when he felt like he woke up during college and truly discovered his heritage. He come from a place where civilization started, where writing came to be, where art thrived in many forms and Algebra and Chemistry were invented. He comes from Alsamwaha Iraq.” I’m proud to say that I’m from Iraq and grew up in Portland,Oregon.” Almaic began subconsciously in these days where his identity was not easily placed in a box, and he grew up feeling that I was “best of both worlds” Arab-American.

TH: When did you start embracing your artistic abilities?

Entering College was an immense accomplishment and opened my eyes further to the endless possibilities to utilize my art. I studied architecture, graphic design and business and was blessed to obtain my bachelors. Looking back, from 1990 to 1994 I was a refugee with my family so graduating college opened my mind and I knew that anything was possible.

TH: Where is Alamic going?

I plan to continue the Almaic brand through developing quality products and thought provoking graphics. I recently launched the “Graphic NovelTee” series where I will release a T shirt every month that can further push my ideas to the world. The series began as challenge for my self to be more active in my brand and stay fresh in peoples minds.
