Kickstarter is the new way to fund creative projects, that no doubt about it! Since 2009 almost 5 million people have pledged around $790 million funding aprox. 48 000 projects.
So far, the clothing industry has brought in $4.39 million on Kickstarter. That’s a good number in my opinion, giving that most successful t-shirt projects raise less than $10 000.
We had quite a few blog post on Teehunter involving a Kickstarter for tshirts.
- -The guys over at 500Level, who wanted to change the way sports fans express themselves by creating unique sports t-shirts.
- -Charlie Hustle Vintage T-shirts wanted to preserve the old school. With help from their Kickstarter for T-shirts launched their Negro Leagues Collection.
- -DevTees wanted to launch their collection for geeks and developers.. They’ve reached full funding in just 29hrs! Besides that, they’ve pledged $6000 and got $32,208. WOW!!
- -The T-shirt Issue – started as a Kickstarter project, became a clothing company! Another successful one!
- -Captain Feline with their cool kitty designs. They’ve shared their debut collection on Kickstarter, now have their shop up and running with some awesome new designs.
- -and so on…
I’ve created an Infographic, honestly my first one, sharing some stats, tips and tricks for brand who want to start their first Kickstarter for Tshirts!
