They are known by many names: Agoge Clothing, Agoge Grappling or Agoge Enduma (which is greek fro garment). Agoge is the training that boys in ancient Greece took part in to become warriors. In ancient Sparta military training was the rule, not the exception.

The company was started in 2009 by 2 College wrestlers and a cousin in Kearney, Nebraska.  The company has since moved to Lincoln Nebraska.  Agoge started out as a company focused only on creating products geared towards the wrestling and MMA community but has since grown and our focus is moving toward those and extreme sports in general such as skateboarding, wakeboarding, snowboarding.

At their company they try to focus on simple yet stylish designs that are pleasing to the eye, they don’t want so much going on in the design you don’t know what to think.  What they want to do isn’t make as many sales as possible but they want to make connections with their fans.  The three of them (whom all are co-owners) all take pride in creating their own designs, printing them at their shop and seeing the sales through till the end and hopefully creating a relationship with their customers.

[interview quote=”We also want to make a positive impact on our community, we have plans for future charity donations and we love to support people who have a passion for whatever they do.  We have sponsored several people in several different areas.  Our company is focused on supporting and enhancing artists and athletes at every level.”]
