About Saint Patrick’s Day
Saint Patrick was a Christian missionary, born in Britain. As a boy he was kidnapped and taken to Ireland, where he spent six years as a slave. He returned to Ireland when he was 30 years old as a missionary among the Celtic pagans.
What’s up with the green clothes? Well, wearing green has become a staple of St. Patrick’s Day, but before that the holiday was associated with the color blue.
It’s a common fact that beer is one of the most widely consumed beverages on St. Patrick’s Day.
