We just found out that the eight installment of the super popular Marvel franchise, X-Men Apocalypse will start shooting in April 2015 in Montreal same as the last movie X-Men: Days of Future Past.The movie will be directed by Bryan Singer and is scheduled for release on May 27, 2016.
If you’re new to the X-Men franchise you may not know who Apocalypse is. His real name is En Sabah Nur and he has one of the very first mutants. Apocalypse is a genius and a tyrant who has lived for thousands of years and a long-time foe of the X-Men. His powers include superhuman strength, invulnerability, flight, teleportation, telekinesis and immortality. Apocalypse is probably the greatest threat that humankind and X-Men have ever faced. I can’t imagine how all the X-Men together will be able to defeat him. I guess I’ll just have to wait to more years to find out the answer to my question.
X-Men Apocalypse will take place 10 years after the events in X-Men: Days of Future Past and will deal with the notion of ancient mutants. Producer Simon Kinberg confirmed that X-Men Apocalypse will feature some of the cast from First Class and more destruction than any other X-Men movie.
