If you think cartoons are just for kids, then you obviously never saw any of these. In fact, letting your kid watch either of these might not be such a good idea. Here’s my pick for the top 10.
10. Archer
This FX show is about Archer, a top secret agent, who loves to party. He treats women like shit, but I’m sure there’s some wisdom to be found there.
9. Robot Chicken
This stop motion animation that mostly mocks popular culture. It’s pretty unique in doing so too.
8. The Boondocks
This anime inspired cartoon is all about the black culture. It’s very edgy, so be careful what you quote and where.
7. King of the Hill
It’s a take on a southern American family, where the dad is usually trying to teach his son some lesson or other.
6. Futurama
This is pretty much the Simpsons. In the future. And a bit crazier. Fry, the protagonist is a lazy delivery boy from our time, but he accidentally gets frozen and wakes up in the future. While he’s sleeping our civilization gets rebuilt after two attacks by aliens.
5. Beavis and Butthead
They are the dumb and dumber of the cartoon world. They go on crazy teenage adventures and as a bonus they critique music videos.
4. The Ren & Stimpy Show
This is what happens when a moronic cat and a psychotic chihuahua go out looking for adventures.
3. Family Guy
Ok, so the jokes are interchangeable, but it’s still a show that’s racist, sexist and very vulgar, which means it’s far from kid friendly.
2. The Simpsons
Probably the most iconic cartoon ever made. The Simpsons did it all. It should probably be on number 1, but didn’t get to that place simply because of my personal prefference. Sue me.
1. South Park
In my opinion way edgier than the Simpsons, it’s about a bunch of 4th graders doing a bunch of things that 4th graders really shouldn’t know about.
