Top 10 Stoner Movies

Well it’s about time I do another top 10 count down, and I thought why not stoner movies. You know, movies that don’t necessarily have a point to them, or any deeper meaning, but they’re awesome to watch after you’ve enjoyed some herbal medicine. So let’s jump right in.

10. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

It’s a movie, that’s supposedly based on a true story, starring Johnny Depp and Benicio del Toro, and it’s all about how strange the mind works while intoxicated.

9. Dude, Where’s my Car

The movie that’s kind of like the hangover. Two guys looking for a car after a night that was a little too wild. Starring Ashton Kutcher and Sean William Scott.

8. Super Troopers

This is a movie about some not too bright state troopers, who just love to get their hands on stoners and have some fun with them.

7. Half Baked

Dave Chappelle is playing Sir Smoke-A-Lot in this movie, where they are trying to sell some weed they stole from a chemical pharmacy. And it even has a Bob Saget cameo.

6. Pineapple Express

Seth Rogen is a lazy stoner who becomes a witness to a murder of an evil drug lord. Hilarity ensues.

5. Friday

The movie that launched Chris Tucker’s career and where Ice Cube showed his acting skills. I’d say more but there isn’t that much of a plot.

4. Harold and Kumar go to White Castle

Harold & Kumar get baked in a one night adventure to White Castle. Also starring Neil Patrick Harris.

3. The Big Lebowski

This is a cult classic that won’t make much sense to you unless you watch it high. It’s about the Dude trying to get his carpet back from a person that didn’t pee on the carpet. It tied the room together. Not to mention the Dude just might be the biggest stoner hero out there.

2. Cheech and Chong’s Up in Smoke

This is the movie from the late 70s, that basically started the stoner comedy genre. A must watch.

1. Dazed and Confused

Another cult hit, that has both a younger Matthew McConaughey and Ben Affleck.

Just remember that these movies might seem stupid, but that’s only because you’re sober.
