ExploreOn July 17th 2015 we’re gonna get a new blockbuster movie set in the Marvel universe. I’m of course talking about Ant-Man. It will star Paul Rudd as Ant-Man or Scott Lang, Michael Douglas as Henry Pym, Corey Stoll as Darren Cross, and Evangeline Lilly (from Lost) as Hope van Dyne. There will also be a cameo by Stan Lee, as is almost the norm in these movies.
The main movie character is obviously Ant-Man, who is a kind of a petty criminal, who one day gets his hands on a special suit that allows him to shrink in size but gain a lot of strength instead. As this happens his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym convinces him to release his inner hero and help him protect the secret of this amazing technology. With lots of threats and obstacles, they must now plan a heist that will save the world.
In the comic books Dr. Hank Pym was the original Ant-Man and his first heroic acts were actually fighting off ants that were 10 times his size. He could also talk to ants via a telepathic helmet and also ride them or even fly on a flying ant. After a while he gets a companion and together they become the co-founders of the Avengers. After a kind of an ego-trip when faced with the super powers of Thor and Iron Man, he decides to use his special serums to grow in size rather than shrink. Later on, his Ant-Man suit gets stolen by Scott Lang (which I guess is where the movie begins), but since he uses it to find a doctor to help his sick daughter, which is a noble purpose, Hank let’s him keep the suit and the identity. Hank even becomes an Avenger, but dies after some time. Or at least we’re led to believe that for a while.

Oh, to be able to change size like Hank Pym. It would be so cool to know what it’d be like to be as big as a builidng or as small as an insect. There would be one drawback of this size changing superpower though: these cool Ant-Man Shirts wouldn’t fit all the time. What a bummer!
