All games in the franchise center around Link ( rarely the same Link ) saving Princess Zelda ( rarely the same Zelda ) and fighting an evil king, usually Ganondorf or Ganon.
The Legend of Zelda series consists of 17 official games all on Nintendo’s major consoles making it the best selling role playing, puzzle and action franchise for Nintendo systems selling over 52 million copies since the release of the original game.
