It’s been 22 years since the release of the first Jurassic Park movie, and two more years since the release of the original book written by Michael Crichton. There were talks about a new sequel for years now, but in 2013 it was confirmed that it was really happening. And not only that, it’s happening on June 12th, 2015, which means were a little over two weeks away from it’s release. And it promises to be amazing.

It will be directed by Colin Trevorrow, who kinda made a name for himself with the movie Safety Not Guaranteed. The lead role in Jurassic World will be taken up by Chris Pratt, who voiced one of the characters in the Lego Movie, but more impressively, was the lead role in Guardians of the Galaxy, which was one of the biggest movies last year. The villain of the movie (apart from the dinosaurs) will be Vincent D’Onofrio, who is also one of the villains in the amazing Daredevil series on Netflix.

The story will take place 22 years after Jurassic Park. Isla Nublar has cleaned up its act and is now safe for tourists as it now has a fully functional Jurassic World theme park, as originally planned by John Hammond. It’s been good for the last 10 years, but now the visitor rates are declining. That means that it’s time for something new in an old world. To do that, they genetically create an even larger dinosaur called Indominous Rex which you can see in the picture below. He is huge, dangerous and kills for sport, and of course things backfire, which means Chris Pratt needs an army of velociraptors to defeat the monster.
