Everyone’s heard about the Fantastic Four. Either from the comic books or from the not very successful movies they did about them. But as famous as they are, they haven’t had much luck in the movie universe. But all that might be about to change on August 7th 2015 when they’ll be getting a reboot. 20th Century Fox has put together a movie that promises to be one of the biggest movies of this year, with an entirely new cast.

Miles Teller of Whiplash fame will be taking on the stretchy character of Reed Richards a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic. Helping him will be Kate Mara, who was kind of waiting for a big role like this since Iron Man II where she had a small role as a police officer. Now she’s ready to step into Jessica Alba’s shoes as Sue Storm a.k.a. Invisible Woman. Johnny Storm a.k.a. The Human Torch, Sue’s brother (or I guess in this case step brother given the race difference) will be played by Michael B. Jordan. Perhaps the biggest surprise though will be Ben Grimm a.k.a. The Thing, who will be played by the actor famous for bringin Billy Elliot to life, Jamie Bell. On the side of the villains we will be seeing Toby Kebbell, who was cast as Dr. Doom.

The story will supposedly be based on the Ultimate Fantastic Four comics which premiered in 2004. The director Josh Trank who did exceptionally well with the Chronicle in 2012 on a very tight budget gives this movie high hopes for all the fans. We might even see the Doombots in live action for the first time. And if this movie is as successful as everyone seems to think we will definitely be seeing sequels as well as a possible Fantastic Four Vs. X-Man movie.
