Darth Punk: The Funk is Strong With This One!

What happens when EDM meets Star Wars? A neon dance battle, that what! So if you’re a fan of Star Wars and/or Daft Punk, you’re gonna love this radically funky video created by InfectiousDesigner. It’s called Darth Punk: The Funk Awakens and it’s a hella fun!

One day Vader and Fett will recruit for the dark side, disguised as an electronic music duo… they will be arresting ears and administering intergalactic rhythm and beats. The Rebels won’t stand a chance. This is their music video, featuring ‘Dj Gonk’.

The Funk Awakens is what happens when you mix ’80s retro sounds, a bunch of lightsaber wielding alley people, and a neon Darth Vader and Boba Fett. By fusing these elements together you travel to an alternate EDM universe where the Force and the Beat both rule the galaxy together.

And even though neither Darth Vader nor Boba Fett have ever really been presented in such a colorful manner, I must say it strangely fits both villains well. With those sick beats and wicked style on their side, the Empire will crush the Rebels once and for all. First take over the music charts, then take over the galaxy!
