I grew up in the late 80s and early 90s. We’ve had a lot of awesome cartoon series back then. Yes, you might think I’m a bit old to be nostalgic for cartoons, but I am. At least from time to time. I still like to go to YouTube and check out a cartoon, be it Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Scooby Doo, Duck Tales, or even Dexter’s Laboratory. But these are just some of the more obvious ones. Read on if you want to remember some of the less obvious ones.

Remember David the Gnome? Him and his wife Lisa traveled the world and had many adventures saving animals and fighting trolls. Or what about Danger Mouse? The greatest mouse secret agent that ever lived, with it’s witty commentary that I probably didn’t fully appreciate until I got older. And while we’re remembering secret agents, how about Inspector Gadget with so many gadgets he even makes Batman look like a small time handy man.

And we also had other superheroes (not just Batman). We had Captain Planet and his Planeteers, even if his main fight was against pollution. For a more manly super hero, you just need to look at He Man, or for a more womanly one, She Ra, his sister.

Still too obvious, huh? What about La Linea, the cartoon about a cartoonist who uses his pencil to draw a kind of a humanoid shape that becomes alive and then travels along a sheet of paper while the artist messes with him. Or Pat and Mat, who must have been the dumbest home improvement type of guys, at least up until Home Improvement came to TV.
