There’s a reason why James Bond is so popular even after over 50 years. And the reason is he’s just so damn cool. The guys want to be him, the girls want to be with him. Some of the guys too, I guess. This week it’s the opening of a brand new installment, called Spectre this time round. He’s still played by Craig David, who pretty much saved the franchise with Casino Royale. Sam Smith made the new theme song, which I would rank as number 4 out of all the James Bond theme songs. The first three would be Tomorrow never dies, by Sheryl Crow, Live and let die, by Paul McCartney, and Goldeneye. by Tina Turner.

But why is James Bond cool enough to make it the longest continue franchise ever? Well first of all, he’s a badass. He’s the man on a mission, always has a plan, and always gets the girl while he’s saving the world from one thing or other. But he’s not cool in a Schwarzenegger kind of way. He’s not this human hulk kind of a person. He’s not Rambo. He’s a normal man, but very quick on his feet, smart, and with lots of cool gadgets to help him accomplish his goals.

He’s also very classy. He’s a gentleman, always wears a suit, drinks posh drinks. Not to mention, he’s British. Proper British too.
