ExploreI have to admit I’m pretty obsessed with Resident Evil, I played all the RE games that were released for Playstation and I saw all the RE movies. Resident Evil is what introduced me to the zombie world and after that I watched and played anything that was zombie related. It all started in 1996 when I first started gaming on Playstation and a friend of mine loaned me his copy of a game called Resident Evil. It was love at first sight, I mean level. I was so hooked up with the game that I called sick at school the whole week just so I could play it.
In 1997 Resident Evil 2 was released which introduced a new character named Leon S. Kennedy who immediately became an icon in the Resident Evil franchise. I have a friend that cosplays at all Comic Cons only as Leon, that’s how much he loves the character. After that, in 1999 Resident Evil 3: Nemesis was released followed by Resident Evil Code: Veronica in 2001. I’m not gonna list all the RE games now, but these first releases were my favorites.
Now, almost 20 years since its first released, Capcom wants to reboot the franchise with 2 more RE games, Resident Evil 7 (not much is known about it right now) and Umbrella Corps, an online only competitive shooter. I watched the trailer and it looks pretty sick. Lots of action and gore, and a bunch of new gadgets and weapons. Resident Evil Umbrella Corps will be released sometime next year for Playstation 4 and PC.
