If one thing’s for sure, dinosaurs have staying power. They’ve been extinct for over 200 million years and today they’re as popular as ever. They’ve appeared in museums, books, comics, TV shows and a couple of huge, groundbreaking (and shaking) movies. They’re popularity shows no signs of stopping.
Like Meryl Streep, dinosaurs are known for their versatility. They can be fierce, giant beasts who will rip you the shreds, or cute little cuddly creatures that you want to hug, or given human traits, dressed in people clothes or shown using modern technology. Dinosaurs can do just about anything (except survive a giant meteor).
And the variety of dinosaurs is like a fun cast of characters, each with different personalities. Probably the most famous is the Tyrannosaurus Rex. Though in the movies the T-Rex is a terrifying beast, in the cartoon world, his biggest shortcoming is examined: his tiny arms.
That big movie back in the 90s made the Velociraptor a household world. You don’t want to mess with those bad asses. Pterodactyls are some of the coolest creatures to take to the sky. And nothing looks as cool as the three-horned Triceratops, bet those guys knew how to party.
It kind of makes me wonder if in 200 million years, when humans are extinct, and new creatures rule the planet: Will they dig up our bones, make movies about us and wear clever t-shirts with our images on it? If so, I hope they’re as cool as the ones from the DesignByHümans. Get them before they’re… you know…
