By the time this blog is posted, she may already be forgotten. But last week, a woman labeled “Chewbacca Mom” was the internet flavor of the month. Amazing what showing off a fun toy you bought at a big named department store can do to your life. She’s been on late night TV, toured the Facebook headquarters, met JJ Abrams, and will soon be meeting Chewbacca himself: Peter Mayhew.

Living in Hollywood, I can feel the pain of actors and comedians who have worked all their lives and can’t even imagine gaining such fame and recognition so quickly. Well, the good news for them is odds are pretty good that her fame will be short-lived. No, this is not a swipe at the woman. I loved her video, wonderful to see such joy in a person. And I’m happy for her instant fame. It does give us hope that it could happen to any of us.

But how? Well, if I had the answer to that, my friends, I’d bottle it and sell it on Amazon. But hey, a good start is show off some Star Wars merchandise. Like T-shirts!
