ExploreI’m kind of new to the Gears of War frachise. I mean, I played the first Gears when it came out for PC back in 2016 and read the Jacinto’s Remnant novel but that’s about it. Then Gears of War came out and guess what, it has a PC port. If you’re a casual player and loved the first Gears game, this is a must have for you.
After the disappointing Gears of War: Judgement, the series is back to the spirit of the original games. Gears 4 is pretty much everything you could as for in a reboot. It has a refined combat system, harder enemies, a new cast of interesting characters and a captivating story. I’m not gonna spoil the story for you but if you’re curious here’s a video with all the cutscenes. It’s one hour long so bring some popcorn.
The Coalition, the studio that delivered us Gears of War 4, knew exactly what parts to take from previous Gears games. That’s why Gears 4 feels refreshing even though it doesn’t bring anything new to the franchise.The Horde was reintroduced and looks amazing. You have no idea how easily it is to get lost and spend countless hours fighting wave after wave.
