At the San Diego Comic Con in 2013, there was this little off-site building for a new NBC show called The Blacklist. It starred James Spader, hot off the heels of Boston Legal. Inside this tiny building was a 3D hologram of James Spader tied to a chair. Not sure if I knew at the time that this was Red Reddington, but there was a loop of interesting quotes. Little did I realize it would go on to be such a big hit.

Though it is no doubt the entire cast, direction and writing that makes the show so good, I feel it wouldn’t be much of a show without James Spader’s Raymond “Red” Reddington (and yeah, the show was probably created with him in mind). But his style, charisma and need to protect Elizabeth Keen (played by Megan Boone), gives this plot-twisty crime drama an edge.

Did I mention style? Though he wears simple suits, trench coats and fedoras, Red Reddington is a very distinguished character. (Come to think of it, I’m surprised I don’t see more cosplay of him at cons.) And to help you look a little more distinguished, I’ve assembled 19 Blacklist T-Shirts that are pretty damn cool.
