Come the holidays, we all have our specific roles. Some are the best gift idea people, they give the best and also give advice on great gifts to get for others. And there are certainly plenty of expert cooks this time of year, the one who makes the best cookies, the juiciest turkey or the best seasonal drinks (hic!). I may not be blessed with those talents, but when it comes to holiday gatherings, I’m known as…. The Funny Guy.
Yes, I’m the one with a quick joke about the presents people received. The one who lovingly teases the older aunts to the point they threaten to slap me. And at dinner, I’ve made many a relative choke with laughter or blow egg nog out their nose. My jokes are from the silly to surreal; one year I had the table in an uproar about how much salad we’d have leftover and what we’d have to do with it after (maybe you had to be there).
If you’re like me, then you’re ready to diffuse any holiday tension with a good joke. No need for deep talks about politic, religion or family gossip, you just go for the funny bone (not the throat, like mean Aunt Mildred, but you’ll tease her, too).
Maybe you’re a prop comic and the family expects you to be wearing a Santa hat, reindeer ears or candy canes as fine jewelry. But we can do one better than that. Show up to holiday gatherings wearing a funny T-Shirt! I’ve found some of the funniest (and maybe goofiest) holiday t-shirts. Hope one of them will showcase your brand of humor.
Santa’s always good for a joke or two.
Show that you can keep up with the kiddie with these dabbing Santa shirts:
Don’t forget the reason for the season.
Some may find their sorrows at the bottom of a bottle, but others find the funny. And hey, people laugh more the drunker they get. Right?
If you’re more on the raunchy side:
But if making bacon means something different to you…
For those who like to grow their own.
And some other silly, light-hearted shirts to make you (and those around you) merry:
