It’s been an incredible year for Marvel movies. We’re into September and we’ve already been lucky enough to have four major releases for Marvel, with three more on the way before the end of the year.

Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Deadpool 2, and Ant-Man and the Wasp have all seen varying levels of success, with Black Panther expected to do quite well when award season comes around. Venom, Aquaman, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will round out 2018 for Marvel to close out a banner year.

Black Panther

Released in February, 2018, Black Panther was met with great anticipatin and did not disappoint. To date, the hit film starring Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o, and Michael B. Jordan has done over $1.5 billion at the box office.

Avengers: Infinity War

In the film that was released in April, 2018, Thor, the Hulk, Iron Man and the rest of the Avengers united to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson headed up this star-studded cast in a movie that has gone on to do over $2 billion at the box office.

Deadpool 2

Ryan Reynolds starred in the sequel as our favorite wisecracking mercenary returned to the theaters. The film is just about to top the $1 billion mark at the box office.

Ant-Man and the Wasp

Starring Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, Ant-Man and the Wasp hit theaters this past summer. It has grossed over $600 million worldwide, making it the seventh-highest-grossing film of 2018.
