ExploreWhoever said science fiction sitcoms aren’t for adults hasn’t heard of Rick and Morty. Rick and Morty is an American adult science fiction animation that has been airing for six years since its first episode debuted in 2013.
Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon did a great job of creating this story of a deadbeat dad who came back home to stay with his married daughter after many years of being AWOL. The dad named Rick and his grandson, Morty quickly form a bond and have fun together whether they are playing around with Sci-fi gadgets in the garage, or they are going on intergalactic adventures.
If you didn’t get hooked on the Rick and Morty vibe when Rick tells Morty, “Nobody exists on purpose. Nobody belongs anywhere. We’re all gonna die. Come watch TV” then you must have gotten hooked when Rick tries to get Morty to help him smuggle seeds by shoving them up his butt.
It doesn’t matter what line got you hooked; what matters is that you are. But then we can’t blame you for getting hooked now, can we? Not when we are as hooked as you are. To be fair though, Rick and Morty just keep getting better with every new episode released.
