The David Bowie T-Shirt Collection: Honoring a Legend

I’m not a prophet or a stone aged man, just a mortal with potential of a superman. I’m living on. – David Bowie.

David Bowie was born in South London in 1947. He would grow into a cultural icon that would change the face of music forever. To Bowie, music wasn’t just something to listen to, it was an exploratory art form. He was known as a “musical chameleon” for his constantly-shifting musical style and appearance, proving that you don’t necessarily have to carve out a definitive niche to be a star. In 1969, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

After his death at the age of 69 on January 10th, 2016,  he was posthumously recognized for his contribution to music. Musical artists like Madonna declared that he’d changed their lives, and old friends like famous actress, Tilda Swinton, gave speeches in his honor. His last album, Blackstar, won the Best Alternative Rock Album, Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical), Best Recording Package, Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song categories at the Grammy Awards.

David Bowie contributed immeasurably to the worlds of art, film, and music. That’s why we’ve compiled a collection of all the best David Bowie tees from around the web to honor this musical legend.
