22 Kingsman T-Shirts to Complete the Golden Circle

In a world where reboots and reimagining run rapid, it’s tough for Hollywood to come up with a brand new franchise that captures the attention of the masses. After years of Bond and Batman, we occasionally get a Bourne. And back in 2014, a little movie called Kingsman: The Secret Service hit the theaters and was (at least to me) a surprising success, that it spurred the upcoming sequel, Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

I guess it shouldn’t be such a surprise that it captured people’s imaginations. To see the world through Eggy’s eyes and find out your long lost father was actually a British super spy. And then to become a spy candidate yourself… it’s the stuff that kid fantasies are made of. Imagine being trained by James Bond!

It had an all-star cast, starting with the suave Colin Firth. Samuel Jackson brings fun to the bad guy, and it’s not a film about sophisticated British spies without Michael Caine. The result was a movie that was both fun and exciting. Leaving it’s mark on the film world as now as recognizable as the Kingsman logo itself.

So there couldn’t be any doubt that a sequel would soon follow. And indeed. The Kingsmen are back in Kingsman: The Golden Circle. This time they’re headed to America and have whipped up some great additions to the cast: Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, Julianna Moore and Jeff “The Dude” Bridges (plus a cameo by Elton John which is supposed to be very cool).

The trailer looks as if the Kingsmen are taking it up a notch. It literally kicks off with a blast with the Kingsmen’s UK headquarters being destroyed, forcing them to hook up with their American counterparts, the Statesmen. There’s lots of western-like gunplay as well as a baddie with a mechanical arm (as Spider-Man would say “You have a metal arm? That is awesome, dude!” — though maybe not for those on the receiving end). And I’m hoping the electric lasso is on their side (not to be confused with Wonder Woman‘s magic lasso/lasso of truth).

Kingsman: The Golden Circle has a very Mission: Impossible vibe… Everything they know is destroyed and they have to start from scratch, in another country. My hope is this takes the franchise in a whole new direction, rather than being a nail in its coffin.

Because it seems like people like the Kingsman. As I mentioned earlier this week, their panel was one of the hottest tickets at San Diego Comic Con. And they transformed the Hard Rock Cafe into the Kingsman’s Tailor Shoppe, which offered a free Happy Hour (and was impossible to get into). So this franchise should still have a lot of life in it.

I look forward to finding out this September, but in the meantime, let’s check out some shirts that may not be in the Kingsman’s Tailor Shoppe, but they’re still pretty cool. Manners may maketh the man, but so don’t some nice threads!
