The guys over at 3Monx makes awesome t-shirts, posters, prints and more. With this project they want to educate the fellow humans and to honor the creators of the often forgotten words, words such as selfie, Y.O.L.O, phubbing, binge-watching and babymoon.

There are 1,019,729 words in the English vocabulary. Every 98 minutes, we are creating one new word.  Some will last a year or two and we will soon forget them. Some will pass the test of time and will last generations.

Illustrations based on current pop culture vocabulary.

Untitled-1

Definition: A selfie is a casual self-portrait, usually taken with a small digital camera or smartphone and then posted online in social network websites.

Definition: YOLO is an acronym for “you only live once”. The acronym YOLO is used in pop culture and music, and was popularized by the song “The Motto” by rapper Drake.

Untitled-3

Definition: Phubbing is the habit of snubbing someone in favor of a mobile phone.

They need your help to engage artists from around the world to work on a project like this. Back this project! Take a look at the rewards, I know for sure you’ll want one for your office, living room or dorm.
