Most of you geeks out there who own a Nintendo 64 have surely played The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time! It was released back in 1998 and it was the first game in the Legend of Zelda series to feature 3D graphics. During its lifetime the game sold over 7.6 million copies worldwide and won the Grand Prize in the Interactive Art division at the Japan Media Arts Festival.
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time had so many positive reviews that the Guinness World Records listed it as the highest-rated game ever reviewed. Currently Ocarina of Time is the highest-rated game on Metacritic, with a score of 99/100.
But enough with that. Do you guys still remember the Temple of Time? It’s the place where Link gets the Master Sword and grows up. You can’t forget something like that, or how it looked like. The graphics were amazing for that time but imagine … what if Ocarina of Time was released today? Just imagine how awesome it would look like!
Ocarina of Time from this …
… to this!
How is it possible? Someone named Michael Eurek is to “blame” for this amazing video. Just check it out, i don’t know what else to say.
“Several months ago, it was suggested to me by a friend that a fun/challenging exercise would be to recreate an environment from an old game I like using modern techniques. I thought this was a great idea, so I have put together a recreation and personal adaptation of The Temple of Time from The Legend of Zelda.
The footage was captured from Unreal Engine 4. Other software used: Maya, Z-brush, Photoshop” – Michael Eurek

I have a t-shirt addiction, a craving for new RTS video games and a dream to become Captain America. I also grow my own beard so I'm kind of a big deal! :P
