The 15 year old pakistani child Sumail Hassan moved to United States a year back and was already showing the exceptional gaming sense he had in the in-house gaming league for North America. In one such league he was hand-picked by one of the largest e-sports giant – Evil Geniuses.
The decision was a daring one – taking a 15 year old guy on a roaster of the world’s second largest DotA 2 Championship. EG’s captain said:
“Despite the fact that Sumail had never played in an international competition, we spotted a ‘x-factor’ in him. We decided to take the risk.”
The addition of Sumail who is known by his in-game alias as “Suma1L” played a game changing role for EG’s during the DotA 2 Asian championship. The team who was at 3rd position a day back rose to being the winner of the championship by giving a crushing defeat to Chinese team ViCi Gaming on Monday.
In further details of the DotA 2 Asian Championship, EG’s were topping the leaderboard with a 7-0 lead including the upset of defeating ViCi. They lost their relative lead on day 3, but finished at 11-4 taking away $1.2m.
EG’s have high hopes from Sumail in the upcoming grand finale of international DotA 2 Championship where The international 5 will compete each other for a prize money worth $10 million.
