So, another day closer to the premiere of the 5th Season of Game of Thrones. We’ve seen the extremely short teasers, we’ve seen the first longer trailer. Now you can take a look at the Game of Thrones Special, a 30 minute documentary showing you what’s going on on the set. Watch it right here, and if it gets you pumped you can continue to the next part of the article. I will let you know what to expect in Season 5. I’ve read the books, so I have to warn you, the next part will be full of SPOILERS.
You have been warned.
Ok, so what will happen in Season 5? Mostly it seems like it won’t get past the books quite yet, but it’s close. There’s a little bit of book 3 that needs to be shown on screen, but mostly it will be things from books 4 and 5. There will as usual be some changes from the book story, manly it seems that Tyrion will meet Dany in person after he escapes from King’s Landing. It’s also going to show Arya arriving to Bravos where she will be training to become a badass assassin, with the change being that she will meet Ser Merryn Trant and Mace Tyrell. Sansa and Littlefinger will be going out of the Vale with an army, which is something we haven’t seen in the books so far, but it could happen in the next one.
Since the readers don’t really know for sure what happens to Brienne and Jaime, and Jaime seems to travel to Dorne with Bronn in this season (instead of Arys Oakheart), it is possible that we will all be shocked by a death, and not just the people who didn’t read the books.
For the end of the season it seems that Cersei will be put on trial after a huge embarrassment called the Walk of Atonement. There will be a new character in this season called the High Sparrow, a character resembling the Pope, and he will be replacing the old “Pope” who was corrupt and in the pocket of the Lannisters. This one doesn’t like them one bit, and he especially doesn’t like the rumors about incest.
The second cliffhanger seems to be concerning Dany, when the city she rules goes into a huge riot and endangers everyone there.
One of the things that they are very secretive about is an action sequence concerning Jon Snow in a place called Hardhome. From the documentary it looks big and we’ve also seen pieces of it in the trailer. But it’s a part that happens in the books, but we have no idea about how it happens, since we only hear about it through messages carried by ravens.
And that’s it for now. We will keep you posted with any new things that might happen in the near future.
BONUS: The Mountain broke a 1000 year old viking record and is officially the strongest man alive.
Hafthor Bjornsson, AKA the Mountain that Rides broke a 1000 year old viking record for strength. The legends describes that the viking who held the record lifted a log that had over 650 kg and carried it 3 steps before his back broke. It took 50 people to lift the log on the guys back. The Mountain lifted 640 kg and made 5 steps with it. Check out the video below.
