When I was a kid I was a huge fan of He-Man, the animated TV show. I even had the action figures. Adam whom I could transform into He-Man just with adding a bit of armor, and even better, Cringer, who would transform into Battle-Cat that He-Man could ride. I know it sounds cheesy, but that was my kid life back then. I’m listening to Princes of the Universe by Queen at the moment. I know it’s not the correct song but it kinda fits perfectly to put me in the mood.

Anyway, in 1987 they made a live action movie called Masters of the Universe. It wasn’t really a huge hit to be honest, but for some reason I loved it. I don’t remember all that much today to be honest, though I know it had Courteney Cox in it, as the cool and hot version of Monica from Friends. Dolph Lundgren was the blonde guy was but he was cool. And I remember that it had something to do with a synthesizer opening a door to another dimension if you played the right chords.

Now, almost 30 years later they’re making a reboot. It’s gonna have Channing Tatum as the star, which I’m not too sure about, but it might work. It will tell the story of Prince Adam, son of King Randor of Eternia. When the King is overthrown by his trusted advisor Skeletor, Prince Adam is cast off to the wastelands of the planet along with his sister Adora, his mentor Duncan, and his childhood friend Teela. Together, the siblings encounter a mythical sorceress who shows them the power of Castle Greyskull, the mystical center of the planet. With the Sword of Power, Adam will become He-Man, the Master of the Universe!
