We grabbed a list of new DOOM t-shirts you can wear while killing your favorite demons.
PS: If you remember IDDQD, leave a comment below with a wink. The t-shirts are the end of review article.
Doom is one of those classic games that changed the game world forever, influenced thousands of games that came after it, and had millions of people enjoying it. While it wasn’t the first first person shooter, it definitely defined the way the genre works today, changing the way 3D works, and it was light years ahead of anything that was done in the past. Now you can actually play the original game on an xBox 360, and you can even do it online as a multiplayer game.
Since 1993 when the game was first released, it has had numerous expansions, spin offs, sequels and even a live action movie. The main series had Doom (1993), The Ultimate Doom (1995), Doom II: Hell on Earth (1994), Master Levels for Doom II (1995) ,Doom 3 (2004), Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil (2005), Doom 3 BFG Edition (2012), and has a new Doom that will supposedly come in spring 2016.
They also released 4 books and a comic book based on the franchise, not to mention the board game. All this is to show just how much of a game changer Doom actually was. It was a simple game. There was no jumping, no aiming of your weapon up and down, no portals or platforms, the only puzzles were that you had to find colored keycards to exit the various levels. But one thing is for sure, you had to be fast. You had to be really really fast. So fast actually that no game today can really compare to it. Doom´s speed, the simple but highly energetic movement, it’s wicked and labyrinthine levels are something that no Call of Duty, no Halo, no Killzone, not even a RAGE can offer.
No matter what genre you like, Doom is one of those must have classics that will never go out of style. I never even really liked shooting games, but I still remember the cheat codes for this one, which is why we’ve collected these retro Doom t-shirts for you. All you need to do it pick one up and wear it.
