I was a big fan of Finding Nemo when it came out. I particularily liked Dory, the fish who couldn’t form any long term memories, which made for some great comedic scenes. I like Ellen DeGeneres anyway, I think she’s very funny in a very natural unforced way, so when I heard that Finding Dory is going to be released as a sequel to Finding Nemo I was over the moon. But what can we actually expect from the movie?

Well as they said at a recent Expo in Brazil, in Finding Dory, Dory will actually be looking for herself in a way. Or at least for her origins. Dory, Marlin and Nemo will embark on an epic journey to discover Dory’s origins and her parents. Dory will find out that she was born and raised at a large research facility called the Marine Biology Institute of California, where aquatic life is studied and rehabilitated., before she was released into the wild.

It’s been 12 years since Finding Nemo, and Finding Dory won’t be released until June 2016, but we do know some of the cast already. Diane Keaton will voice Dory’s mother and Eugene Levy will play her father. All three major characters from Finding Nemo will be voiced by the same actory, and they will also introduced a few new characters, including an octopuss, and a shark who thinks he’s a beluga whale.

The movie will begin six months after the first one ended, with Dory being in the Coral School with Nemo. At some point she will have a sudden flashback from her childhood which will make her want to find her family. I think it’s gonna be a great fun to watch, as was the original, and this one might be even better, since it’s going to focus more on my favorite charater, Dory.
