Power Rangers are getting a Hollywood movie reboot as you might have heard. If you’ve been living on top of a pole in the middle of the desert over the last 15 years or so, you might be unaware that Power Rangers was a show about 5 people who were in a constant battle with usually pretty cheesy alien bad guys, but it actually developed a sort of a cult following. Especially for the Pink Power Ranger.

The reboot is still quite some time away, since the movie is coming out in 2017, but we already know quite a bit of details about the plot and cast. First of all, there will not be a pink Power Ranger anymore. At least not in the form of Amy Jo Johnson. Now that that’s out of the way, there will actually be none of the original cast in the movie. The cast will supposedly be composed out of no big Hollywood names, as the producers would like the cast to be people in their late teens.

We know much more about the plot though, as Heroic Hollywood got their hands on the script for the movie. Bare in mind that it is still over a year before the movie comes out, so the story might change over time. You can read the whole plot here and obviously, spoilers ahead, so beware!

I’ve heard of people hoping this will replace the Hunger Games franchise, though based on this script outline, it’s hopefully going to stay as cheesy as it used to be.
