Did you know it’s been over 30 years since the first Indiana Jones came out? Yup, and it’s still very good, up to this very day. There’s a reason why Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones was named as the best movie character of all time by countless movie review magazines. Which episode was the best though? We all know which one was the worst, and I’m not even going to go into that, South Park said it best with the episode they made about the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

At the time of the release of the Temple of Doom, it was the third biggest grossing movie, behind Ghostbusters and Beverly Hills Cop, and though it’s probably earned a higher cult ranking than either of those movies, it wasn’t nearly as good as people expected from the hype. It kind of felt like it was just one chase after the other.

The second best would have to be The Last Crusade, which features Nazis and Sean Connery. Since The Temple of Doom, didn’t do very well at all, they made this one closer to the original, gave it a much better story, toned down the violence and gore, and made the most successful movie of the franchise.

Which of course leaves Raiders of the Lost Ark as the number one of the franchise. It had Harrison Ford, fresh out of Star Wars fame and ready to kick some ass. It was the original, and unfortunately, nothing ever really passed it later on. There is some glimmer of hope though. Disney bought the rights to the movie, and it all seems like we might get an Indiana Jones 5. Judging from the Star Wars 7 trailer, this could bring the franchise back to it’s former glory. And just the idea of that is enough for us to find some of the most hidden Indiana Jones t-shirts out there. Enjoy!
