ExploreAwhile ago I had the chance to play the version of Star Wars Battlefront and damn was I impressed. Even though we had only 2 maps available the lobby was always full of players ready to go into battle. The beta version offered up 2 multiplayer maps with slightly different objectives, Drop Zone on Sullust and Walker Assault on Hoth.
I know it’s tempting to dive straight into Hoth but don’t do it as a new player. Hoth is a massive 40-player map, a true massacre. For the imperials it’s an easy job, they just need to protect a pair of AT-ATs walkers as they make their way to the rebel shield generator. Rebels on the other hand, are in for one tough fight. Their mission is to capture and defend Uplink points in order to call in aerial support to take down the AT-AT walkers. Not even the presence of Luke Skywalker doesn’t really help the rebels. The AT-ATs absorb way to much damage in the 30 seconds period of vulnerability.
Start up with Sullust of even better, with the single player or co-op missions. Try out the Horde-mode with waves of enemies that get harder with each round. This is also the best way to get used with Battlefront’s Cards system, without having to unlock them. Once you get used with the Cards system jump into Sullust and level up a bit and unlock some more Cards. You’re going to need them on Hoth. The best thing about Star Wars Battlefront is it’s simplicity. Just level up your character and jump into action with anything you’ve unlocked pre-match.
