Fallout fans can now irradiate their taste buds with some real-life Nuka Cola Quantum! Bethesda Studios has teamed up with Jones Soda to make this happen. The new carbonated soft drink is available at all the Target stores starting November 10, and comes in the same blue color as Fallout 3′ Nuka Cola Quantum.

You want some too? Then I have some bad news. Jones Soda released the beverage as a super limited edition item, so supplies at all the Target stores was really scarce, one or two cases per store. But wait, that’s not the bad news. The bad news is that all of them were snapped immediately, and in some cases by Target employees. While the bottles retail for $2.99 at the Target stores, some of them ended up on eBay for the outrageous price of $150 per bottle. Complains immediately started rolling in on Jones Soda’s Facebook page after the company said that the beverage will only be available while supply lasts.
“While we’re very excited by the response to the program, we recognize that the demand far exceeded everyone’s expectations, and we will be working closely with everyone involved to try and expand the program and bring you more.”
Just what were they thinking when they released such a low quantity of Nuka Cola Quantum? Considering Fallout 4 is probably the most anticipated video game to come out this year and Target is a huge mass-retailer. If they really wanted to make it a true collector’s item, they should’ve done what Carlsberg did with its Fallout beer.
And just what are people thinking when they pay $50 or even $220 for a bottle of berry lemonade? Would you pay $50 for $2.99 lemonade just because it comes in a different bottle?
