Ahhh…. the early days of romance. When you can’t get enough of each other. You text, talk, e-mail and actually meet in person almost constantly. You hang on each others’ words. Every love song on the radio feels like it was written for you. You suddenly fancy yourself the best poet in the world. And everything you say or do, your new love finds adorable, and vice versa. And let’s not forget the pet names! (No… you’re schmoopie!)
Maybe there are some couples out there for whom these days of wine and roses never faded. But sadly, in most cases, couples fall into a routine. And though you still love your other half with all your heart, you begin to take each other for granted. And sometimes pet names turn into… well, not very nice words.
That’s why we need Valentine’s Day as a reminder of those days of young romance. To try, for at least one night, to recapture the early days of romance. And who knows, maybe it will reignite something that will last throughout the year.
Regardless if you’re still ga-ga in love or the romance is now blah-blah, it’s the time of year to say what may have been taken for granted the rest of the year. Instead of saying it with flowers, why not say it with T-Shirts (though if your significant other likes flowers, you should probably get them some as well). I dug up some sweet Valentine’s Day T-Shirts to help you wear your heart on your sleeve… or on your chest, rather. Of course, if you’re not in a relationship or (sadly) in a really bad one, these shirts may be so sweet, they’re sour.
But for all you pumpkins and pookies and schmoopies out there, these t-shirts will remind your loved one that:
A romantic t-shirt is like a Valentine’s Day card they can wear all year long.
There’s is nothing better than finding that person who “completes you.” It’s almost become a little trite and overused, so it’s more fun to find metaphors for the sentiment.
Romance may even turn the most Goth of folk into a bright and cheerful soul. Changing dark Smiths/Morrissey from death to life:
And for a gamer, this is the biggest compliment:
There are few people in the world who actually like puns. Some are actually vehemently against them. But when it comes to love, puns are the highest form of flatter. Especially when they’re (sickeningly) sweet.
And there’s some other cute, fun word play.
And you are both sure that the two of you will go down in the annuls of history as two of the greatest lovers of all time!
Here’s hoping the new romance “feels” and the Valentine’s Day “feels” last throughout the year! Keep on lovin’!
