From the moment that J.R.R. Tolkien first published his small novel The Hobbit in 1937, the entire world has been enthralled with Middle Earth. As fans, we celebrate both the amazing literary accomplishment of the novels, and the groundbreaking achievement of the films. We bicker over which was better, and whether or not the Hobbit films lived up to the spirit of the original work, but the one thing we can agree on is that we love everything Tolkien.

The story of Middle Earth is one of hope, of heroes, and of sheer badassery. From its beginning in the Shire, to its end at Mount Doom (and, arguably even further…to Dagor Dagorath), it’s a tale that feels both familiar and new, intricate and beautifully simple. It’s the hero’s journey in its purest form, and it will never stop enchanting us.
