Not to be confused with James Cameron’s Avatar (lest the wrath of the millions of fans across the globe be incurred), Avatar: the Last Airbender, is an unique animated series that captured the hearts of children, teens, and adults worldwide and grew into a cult phenomenon.

Avatar: The Last Airbender, or, A:TLA for short, was the kind of kid’s show that wasn’t really just “for kids”. It taught us valuable, difficult lessons about revenge, anger, pride, suffering, and friendship. It dealt with topics most adults shy away from adding into kids’ shows, like parental neglect and abuse, the devastating effects of war and death, the dark side of responsibility and pride, and even how to deal with your girlfriend turning into the moon (okay, maybe the last one was a bit silly. But we all feel for you, Sokka. That’s rough, buddy).
