ExploreIt’s amazing how popular Minecraft is these days. All started from a beta version on PC and now the game is available on Android, IOS , XBox 360 and Xbox Live Arcade. Who would have thought that a commonplace sandbox indie game would turn out to be such a huge success.
Minecraft is a sandbox game created by Marcus Persson. The game is about players who can place or break different types of blocks in three dimensional environment. Minecraft is available in singleplayer and multiplayer. Besides placing block the players can do other activities such as exploring, gathering resources, crafting and combat. The game is so popular that received five awards in 2011. It was awarded the Innovation Award, Best Downloadable Game Award, and the Best Debut Game Award. In 2012 the game was awarded a Golden Joystick Award.
Minecraft has no specific goals for the players to accomplish, therefore the players have the ability to choose how they want to play the game. It consists of two game modes: survival and creative and you can make it as difficult as you want.
