15 T-Shirts Every True Dragonborn Needs

by on Jan 10, 2017

There’s hardly a gamer among us who doesn’t enjoy exploring the regions of Tamriel’s cold, unforgiving northern province. A night spent slaying dragons, exploring ancient Nord crypts, Fus-Do-Rah’ing trolls off of mountainsides and eating enormous wheels of cheese is a night well spent. Skyrim is truly a masterpiece of a game, and after years of playing it, I’m still discovering new quests and and locations I’ve never seen before. The game never gets old.

Undeniably, the best part about Skyrim is the vast world that its creators made for us to run around in. The detail is incredible, the world is immense, and don’t even get me started on just how packed and beautiful the lore is. There’s just something so satisfying about stumbling across a new pond, or new castle, or new cave that you’ve never seen before, and you think: “wow, this is beautiful!”.

Whether that takes the form of that first glimpse of Lake Ilinalta, or the gentle snowfall in Winterhold, or that incredible moment when you first make it into the Inner Sanctum of Bleak Falls Barrow, that Word-Wall calling to you, the Dovahkiin – it doesn’t matter. Skyrim is beautiful, and the hours spent merely exploring the wilds of the world will never be wasted.

Remember the first time you walked through the gates of Whiterun and heard that Battle-Born talking to Adrianne Avenici about how he “must have more swords for the Imperial army”, and those first few notes of “Streets of Whiterun” played and you just felt…at home? No matter what other house I own throughout Skyrim, Breezhome will always be my home base. It’s humble, sure, not exactly the palace you’d expect for someone who saved Skyrim from Alduin’s return, but it always felt like such a welcoming, safe place.

Whiterun has everything any true Dragonborn might need: a blacksmith, a (sleazy!) general store manager, a potions table, a court mage stocked with everything you need to enchant your armor and learn new spells, and hundreds of quests just waiting to be followed…all you have to do is look.

One of my other favorite bits of Skyrim includes all of the long-running jokes that make up so much of the world. I mean, what self-respecting Dragonborn hasn’t walked by a guard who said: “I used to be an adventurer like you…until I took an arrow to the knee”. There’s also that fantastic Giant instant-kill glitch (I believe I can fly!) that Bethesda loved so much they decided not to fix…and what’s up with M’aiq? Is he lying? Is he not? How much information does he truly give away about the history of Skyrim? We’ll never know.

I could sing the praises of Skyrim for pages and pages, and still not be done with explaining all the reasons I love this game. In case you love Skyrim just as much as I do, and all of these points resonated with the Dovahkiin inside of you, check out the rest of our awesome Skyrim-themed T-Shirts:
