L.A. T-Shirts for Every Real Angeleno

Los Angeles, one of the largest as well as richest cities in the United States, might have a little bit to brag about.  Between Griffith Park, the Hollywood Walk of Fame and perhaps most importantly, In-N-Out, LA is a socioeconomic hub and cultural melting pot known for its easygoing attitude and sunny weather.  What’s not to love about the City of Angels?

Known as the Entertainment Capital of the World, the Los Angeles area is home to several big name studios.  The Academy Awards, The Big Bang TheoryJimmy Kimmel Live!, Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards… The list goes on and on, but everything in entertainment happens in Hollywood.  And if it’s not in Hollywood, then it’s not “happening.”  Since the early twentieth century, Tinseltown has been synonymous with the film industry.  In its early years, it welcomed the four original Warner brothers, Humphrey Bogart, Walt Disney, and hundreds more who would shape the fledgling industry’s future.  Today, the film industry continues to generate hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue based out of Los Angeles, and the days of tomorrow are only looking up.

Speaking of the silver screen, La La Land deserves a special round of applause after winning the Oscar for Best Picture for anyone who turned off their TV a few minutes too soon.

Yes, American Horror Story is truly redefining the genre and Lady Gaga’s performance is amazing and absolutely terrifying.  Blah, blah, blah.  But can we all collectively acknowledge the real three-word horror story: Traffic in LA.  *Cue the paranoid music*

More than the theater, let’s take a look at the field.  Los Angeles is a mecca for sports fans across the country and even around the world.  We have teams for every sport you can possibly imagine, and not only that, but those teams completely dominate your imaginary sports.

Sorry, Brooklyn.  The Dodgers’ real home is a little farther west and a lot prettier-looking (and it has got the Vin Scully).

We don’t need the cold to play ice hockey.  We’ll just make our own, then casually go win the Stanley Cup.

You can find Black Mamba shooting hoops down at Venice Beach every other weekend.  Lakers never quit the game.

You think we’re content with a single basketball team?  Pft!  Chris Paul and the Clippers beg to differ.

After realizing their mistake, the Rams have finally made their triumphant(?) return to The City of Angels.  Welcome home.  Now for God’s sake, please stop embarrassing yourselves.

Why is LA so successful?  Maybe it has something to do with our world-renowned educational institutions.  Or maybe we’re just lucky.  (Hint: It’s not the latter.)

You think your college is popular?  Between the University of Southern California and the University of California Los Angeles alone, over 150,000 applications were submitted.  That’s right: LA is home to USC and UCLA.  Their rivalry is one for the ages; it mirrors the great feuds of Edison and Tesla, the Bloods and the Crips, Team Edward and Team Jacob.  They are the schools you wish you could brag about.  They hate each other, but they hate everyone else even more.

Take a minute to think about all the possibilities Los Angeles has to offer – the beach, the theater, the weed!  You could wander the city for days and to accomplish all of that wandering, you will want a few shirts on your back.  Look no further, fair traveller, and grab a tee or two to explore the City of Angels!
