One of the most unique co-op games of 2013 is finally coming to console gamers.
It’s about time!
Xbox gamers have been patiently waiting for a co-op version of Don’t Starve ever since the game was initially released for Xbox One in the summer of August 2015. Just in time for summer break, Klei Entertainment is releasing Don’t Starve Together for console players everywhere.
Don’t Starve Together not only features multiplayer gameplay, but also comes with a variety of new quests, bosses, and storylines for players to explore. The new shadow queen has taken the land of Don’t Starve over, delving deep into the recesses of the world. She’s coming for the powerful being at the center of the ruins, but why? Will she aid Wilson and the other survivors, or murder them? It’s up to you to find out.
Players can now battle against bosses like the Toadstool, Bee Queen, and Klaus, explore the desert biomes, and delve into the ancient ruins in search of long-buried secrets.
The pack for Xbox One will also include Reign of Giants, complete with three new playable characters, shifting seasons, and even more biomes to play in.
You can link up with friends, take your chances with complete strangers, or attempt to rough it alone. Gather supplies, fend off the creatures trying to eat you alive, and most importantly…don’t starve.
Do you think you have what it takes to keep Wilson fed, alive, and mentally stable in this dark world? It’s no easy task, after all. If you’re already experienced with Don’t Starve, you’ll find it slightly easier, but still meet new challenges. If you’ve never played Don’t Starve before and you’re looking for a fun co-op game…turn back now. Only despair awaits you.
We’re just trying to stay sane.
If there’s one thing that we’ve learned from playing Don’t Starve that can prepare us for Don’t Starve Together, it’s that we’ll starve, freeze, burn, overheat, get stabbed, stung, and eaten alive…and we’ll like it and keep coming back for more.
That’s just the way the game goes.
Can’t wait for Don’t Starve Together to release on Xbox One? Well, you’re just going to have to light a torch, gather a group of friends, and deal with it. Stay calm. The game releases on May 16th. You’re almost there.
While you’re waiting, gather a few Don’t Starve t-shirts. These’ll keep you safe from all those deerclops, webbers, and treeguards until you can get your hands on the new game.
