PC or Console? Wear Your Loyalty

by on May 31, 2017

Gamers unite!

…Except when we can’t agree what platform to use.

The PC vs Console debate is nearly as old as gaming itself. Members of the so-called “PC gaming master race” look down on so-called “Console peasants”. Console gamers think PC gamers are arrogant and self-entitled, and like to point out that many games simply aren’t available to play on PC (The Last of Us, we’re looking at you), and that gaming really began on consoles.

At TeeHunter, console gamers did beat PC gamers 3 to 1, but that doesn’t mean we’re here to settle the debate. Instead, we’re here to point out some sick tees that you can wear to show your platform pride.

Be it PC,

Or Console,

In Defense of PC Gaming

Sure, PC gamers might not get official access to all the games, but you can bet somebody out there has found a way to work around that. Besides, PC gamers have access to nearly limitless mods, unbeatable graphics and frame rates, and free multiplayer access. The controls might be a bit wonky sometimes, but that’s nothing you can’t fix with a Steam controller, right? We have millions of games at our fingertips. We’re not limited to the few same developers, but have access to thousands of independent game developers, modders, and fellow PC gamers who we can access with just the touch of our mouse.

PCs might not be inherently designed to game, like consoles, but they have incredible gaming potential. You can modify your PC at will to create the ultimate gaming machine. Or, if you’re on a budget, even the lower end models can still run some of your favorites with relative ease.

So, if you’re a PC gamer, check out these awesome tees…and avoid those console peasants.

In Defense of Console Gaming

On the other end of the spectrum, we’ve got console gaming. It’s a proud tradition dating back to the birth of gaming itself. Console gaming began with the humble arcade. Console lovers remember the classic Gameboy, the Atari, and the NES. Some of us grew up on the Gamecube. Others really love Xbox or Playstation.

Each console has had its own updates and new incarnations. While the graphics might not be as great as the PC, there’s something to be said for the console gaming community. We began as kids sitting around a flickering TV screen. Now, we can still do that, or we can play alone, or we can connect with millions of other people online to play tournaments. Console’s true strength is in its community and its controls. The ease of movement, the intuitive controls, and the ability to hookup to an enormous screen with ease make console gaming awesome.

Console gamers know the truth: consoles are the heart and soul of gaming.

Regardless of where your loyalties lie, we gamers can agree on one thing: gaming is the best. It’s one of the greatest hobbies out there. You can play alone or with your friends. Gaming lets you be the hero of your own story. You can travel to places you’ve never been before, whether that’s a magical land filled with Nordic dragons, an insane asylum filled with people who want to kill you, or somewhere in California or a random battlefield. You can control anything you want, be it vast armies, or a small family.

Gaming makes us limitless.
